Anyway, while running a scheduled virus scan with McAfee, it would alway freeze toward the end. I booted up in safe mode with networking and I have full internet acces, which is how I am typing right now. I am having hard time finding the 3rd party software that is blocking my connection.

The latter is where we typically find malware. If you then have a sane system with browser access to say Google, then you know the issue is within the Startups on your pc - - report this in a new post in the Virus Removal forum.
