Re: sketchup selection tool problem by TaffGoch » Sun Oct 12, pm wanderer It sounds to me like a graphics card or driver problem.
If you have no other graphics display problems, you may want to try disabling 'fast feedback' first instead. This function handles much of the screen updates involving the cursor. Disabling 'fast feedback' doesn't impair the operational speed as much as disabling 'hardware acceleration.
Try it anyway. Re: sketchup selection tool problem by spirp » Mon Oct 13, am Taff, I wish I'd written that answer. Re: sketchup selection tool problem by wanderer. I didn't ask help for english grammer n oopz "and" spells I 'll learn it later.

Was there an update pushed over night with a Windows update?
And yes, there was an update last night. Your profiles both indicate Intel HD graphics cards. Potentially the common denominator. Try rolling the graphics drivers back to the previous version. I hope it takes care of the problem. Please report the results. I went through all the update stuff in settings but the option to roll back to a previous version of the driver is grayed out… Everything else I looked at seem to indicate that the graphics drivers may not have been changed in this latest update.
Hmmmm… What does Intel show as the most recent driver for that card? How does it compare to the version you are running? For me, that did the trick. There was an update last night as mentioned… I wish I could remember the patch ID , but the first one on the list from was the one screwing things up for me. There were two… The first one did it after an uninstall and restart. Maybe not a graphics driver update but something else in the Windows update? The dreaded Windows Wonkiness.
